Horticultural Project

Earlier this year we began work on a new horticultural project. The objective is to provide opportunities for participation in the garden project by everyone at Longfields regardless of disability, and to volunteers from the local community who may wish to help us.

When complete the garden will include a pond, poly-tunnel for propagating seeds, a woodland area surrounding the garden, raised flower beds and a pathway suitable for wheelchair users.

A special thanks for all their hard work to the British Trust Conservation Volunteers.

We are now looking for volunteers from the community who would like to help us with the garden, and who would also enjoy helping people with learning and physical disabilities to participate in the garden and poly-tunnel.
